Today we welcomed a travelling Petting Zoo to Montessori Children’s House, bringing a variety of friendly animals for the children to meet and interact with. Despite the rain, the animals and children quickly formed a calm and happy connection as they gently patted, observed, and learned about each animal's unique characteristics.
Experiences like these help children develop confidence, empathy, respect, and an appreciation for living things through direct, meaningful interaction. The visit also provided many opportunities for conversation, observation, and joyful discovery.
To finish the morning, children and their families gathered together to enjoy a shared kai, creating a warm and welcoming community atmosphere while reflecting on the exciting experiences of the day.
